Microsoft, by developing user
friendly, effective and efficient products holds all the aces. With the release
of Windows Live Mail in November 2007, the computer users were provided with a
top notch email client from Microsoft. Windows Live Mail is the successor of
Outlook Express in Windows 9x to Windows ME and Windows Mail in Vista. It’s
quite interesting to use Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail when supported by a single
email client. Yes, this email client is equipped with this outstanding multiple
email account setup feature. Let’s take a look at brief review of it
Pros:
Multiple accounts Compatibility
The compatibility with other
e-mail accounts allows you not to only add IMAP, POP and ISP but also configure
your favorite accounts like Gmail (Google Mail), Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail. This
amazing feature allows you to read all your e-mails at one place. One more
interesting point is that you can get to your e-mails in the event your
computer system is in offline mode. A separate section will be created
automatically for each Email Account, whereas their Outbox will remain same.
This interesting option is not available even in Outlook, Outlook Express, and Windows
Mail.
Easy to Use Interface
With consisting of great e-mail
management features, Windows Live Mail provides a simple and easy to use interface.
Its UI is completely different from Outlook express and other e-mail clients. You
can change the settings for layout, colors etc.
Junk e-mails are Automatically Prohibited
Users do not need to worry about spamming
and entry of junk e-mail as the junk e-mail filter scans all the incoming mails
and extracts the spam. And the suspicious mails are automatically moved to junk
email folder.
Send Photos over E-mail
It’s a great fun to share your photos
with friends and close ones. I recently used this feature of Windows Live Mail
and experienced that the sent photos are of high resolution. While sending the
images through e-mail, the photos are converted to thumbnails. The user can add
border, text and frames to the individual images.
Cons:
Lack of Custom Smart Folders
Windows Live Mail doesn’t offer
custom smart folders which is an intelligent system.
Issues in organizing e-mail
The issue occurs when you organize
e-mail using labels and reply with pre- templates.
Little Integration between E-mail and Calendar
Windows Live Email doesn’t offer
great integration between e-mail and calendar which makes it a little efficient
from users’ point of view.
Although there are some of the drawbacks of Windows Live Mail but if you face any other problems, then you can contact third party Windows Live Mail support to take help in order to resolve all these issues in a very little time. Whether the problem is about Windows Live Mail setup, install, uninstall or repair, you’ll surely get proper help from third-party services.
